8 sH๏τ, including 4 kids, while watching fireworks in Brooklyn: sources

Eight people, including four kids, were sH๏τ as they enjoyed a 4th of July night out to watch some fireworks in Brooklyn Saturday — leaving cops to rush to the scene and carry the young victims to safety in their arms, according to sources and video.

The sH๏τs rang out at about 10:35 p.m. at 2930 W. 30th St. near Surf Ave in Coney Island, not far from the boardwalk where a fireworks display had been set for 9:45 p.m., police say.

Detectives and police swarmed the scene outside the Seapark Apartments, and were seen on video running down the street carrying young victims to get medical care.

“When I see in the camera I see the cops running with the kids in their hands,” a deli worker on the corner told the Post.

“When I went out I saw one kid was going into the ambulance and I was told there were four inside.”

It was not clear how many gunmen there were or why the sH๏τs were fired, but residents said the block is known for violence.

“It’s so sad they won’t enjoy themselves without them killing each other. This building is always partying. I came home to have fun and now this. This building always has some trouble,” said a resident of the area who identified herself as Mackenzie.

The victims include a 33-year-old male and a 21-year-old female sH๏τ in the chest; a 25-year-old female, a 14-year-old male, a 12-year-old male, and a 7-year-old male sH๏τ in the legs or thigh; a 37-year-old male sH๏τ in the shoulder; and a 6-year-old male sH๏τ in the stomach.

Seven of the victims are in stable condition, while the 21-year-old female is in critical condition.

Mackenzie explained that the building is known for raucous activity.

“This building is always partying,” she said.

“I came home to have fun and now this? This building always has some trouble.”

The deli worker interviewed by the post added: “The cops, they say they found a book bag with a gun under the trees.

“I was scared to be honest. I think there was more than one shooter with so many [that were] hit.”
