🚨 A PARKING SPACE DISPUTE ENDS IN TRAGEDY: Retired U.S. Army Veteran Fatally SH๏τ Outside Walmart 💔

North Lauderdale, Florida — Authorities in South Florida are continuing to investigate a tragic confrontation that unfolded in the parking lot of a Walmart in North Lauderdale, where retired U.S. Army Staff Sergeant Bart Diguglielmo, 62, lost his life following a dispute over a parking space.

Investigators say the case remains under active review as prosecutors examine the evidence to determine whether criminal charges will be filed.

According to the Broward Sheriff’s Office, deputies and emergency crews responded to the Walmart on West McNab Road after receiving reports of a shooting shortly after midday on June 30.

Bart Diguglielmo, a resident of Lauderhill, was transported to Broward Health Medical Center, where he was later pronounced deceased.

Investigators said the incident began with a verbal disagreement between Diguglielmo and an adult woman over a parking space.

Cellphone and dashcam videos recorded portions of the encounter, and those recordings are now being analyzed as part of the investigation.

The woman remained at the scene, cooperated with detectives, and told investigators she acted in self-defense. Authorities have not publicly identified her while the case remains under review.

Family members described Bart Diguglielmo as a decorated military veteran, retired trauma nurse, and devoted father.

His daughter, Amanda Diguglielmo, said she wants her father to be remembered for the person he was rather than the circumstances surrounding the incident, emphasizing that no family should experience such a loss over a parking dispute.

The Broward Sheriff’s Office confirmed that homicide detectives continue gathering evidence before presenting the completed investigation to the Broward State Attorney’s Office, which will determine whether criminal charges are appropriate.

Officials have urged the public to allow the investigative process to proceed while all available evidence is carefully reviewed.
