BRYAN, Texas (KBTX/Gray News) – Police in Texas say a missing child who was last seen alive in a Bryan neighborhood has died.
According to the Bryan Police Department, officers responded to a report of a missing child, identified as Jermaine Mills, on Tuesday evening.
Multiple officers and community members helped in the search for the missing 4-year-old.

Family members said they saw him near the pool at the Oak Creek Condos about 30 minutes before making the 911 call.
Jermain was found a little more than an hour later in the pool, unresponsive. First responders said life-saving measures were performed before he was taken to the hospital for emergency medical care.
However, the child did not survive and died at the hospital.
According to police, the conditions of the pool made visibility into the water limited.
Bryan police said their investigation into the situation remains ongoing.
Authorities reminded everyone to never leave children unattended near water, to stay alert, avoid distractions and have children who aren’t strong swimmers properly fitted with a life jacket or flotation device. They also urged those who have a pool to keep gates locked or secured where children cannot access the water.
